Wedding images by daSur/Eileen Davis have moved to Eileen Davis Photography (eileendavisphotography.com). For those who have been with daSur and wanting to order images Eileen will still honor those contracts, still the same company but different name. Our Saturday began with a nice drive to Dahlonega, GA for the Forest Hill Mountain Resort. This was a charming location for Steve and Ana’s wedding and the fall colors just made it even more relaxing, what a day to have a wedding ceremony! We had beautiful location, weather and just so happened a stunning couple. They are a lovely couple inside and out. Ana, incorporated a lot of family elements to her wedding, including where she would stand during the cake cutting (she brought a picture of her grandmother’s wedding during the cake cutting and wanted to recreate it). Steve had all his closest friends since elementary school as his groomsmen. After exchanging vows in an outdoor ceremony surrounded by spectacular fall colors as a backdrop, Steve and Ana exited by horse-drawn carriage and headed for the ceremony to get the party started. Thanks Steve and Ana for sharing your wonderful day with us.

This past Saturday we were honored to photograph Emily & Derek’s wedding in Marietta, GA. Emily is one of 4 sisters so it was an exciting day since she is the first to go down the aisle. Along with her sisters, friends were also at hand to help get ready and share a laugh or two. Afterwards we headed to Kingdom Hall where we met up with Derek and his groomsmen. Let me tell you, Derek was surrounded with a bunch of characters but they are such great friends to have all traveled from all over to support him on this special occasion. Emily looked stunning in her strapless ball gown as she walked down the aisle and Derek looked sharp in his pinstripe suite. After the ceremony, the wedding party headed out to Marietta Square for a few fun shots and was on our way to the Marriott Hotel to continue the festivities. Kudos to Jerry & Surline and Vincent & Lori for such an entertaining entrance! You Rock! It was truly a fun filled party with lots of laughter and dancing. Congrats Emily & Derek!

This past Saturday I met Anna & Steve at Gresham Mill in Canton, GA. This location was once a settlement for Cherokee Indian and later into a gold mine in the 1830s; it was later rebuilt in 1878. Let me begin by telling you how awesome it was to photograph this couple. They claimed that they didn’t know what to do but they were so natural that I barely had to say anything to them, which made the shoot fun and easy. Anna & Steve also have great personality to complimented each other, Anna is a caring free spirit and up for anything while Steve is reserve and attentive. Thanks guys for such a wonderful photo shoot. We’ll see you in November!

Last Wednesday & Thursday I photographed Emily & Derek for their engagement shoot at the Bob Callan Trail and Atlantic Station. The trail is a little gem hidden within the city of Atlanta, I would not have found it. Lucky for us the weather was on our side Wednesday evening as we walked the trail. It was a great location for they’re laid back personality. Emily & Derek are so sweet and really complimented each other. The following day we headed to Atlantic Station where we photograph the spot where they first met and where they had their first date. Emily & Derek sure kept me entertained when they shared their stories of how they met and how Derek proposed. Thanks guys for being such a trooper on the shoot, especially Derek. You two did a great job and can’t wait for the wedding day! Emily, you are going make such a beautiful bride!

This past Saturday we had the pleasure of photographing Frida & Andy’s wedding in Athens, GA. Our adventure began at the Foundry Park Inn & Spa, which was the perfect location for family and friends to stay and relax. The ceremony took place at the Young Harris United Methodist Church where they said their “I do’s” among family & friends from near and far. Afterwards we headed back to the Foundry where the party really got started and let me tell you they know how to party. With a mixture of country, latin and everything in between it was nonstop dancing on the floor. Thank you Frida & Andy for letting us be part of your special day. We had a great time getting to know your family & friends!

This past Saturday we had the pleasure of photographing Mandi & Shawn’s wedding at the Heritage Vinings Clubhouse in Smyrna, Georgia. This venue was so unique and quaint with a bit of history. It used to serve as a rest stop for travelers back in the early 1930s in Atlanta and was later relocated to its current location. Mandi and Shawn certainly made their day unique and relaxing. Surrounded by friends and family they tied the knot with the help of two flower girls, which absolutely had the best flower girl outfits and Tom who officiated the ceremony. Afterwards they feasted on some very yummy vegan and vegetarian cuisine. These two are so laid back that we felt like part of the party! Thank you Mandi & Shawn for sharing your moment with us.

On May 17, 2008 Eileen and I were blessed to photograph the union of Stenelle and Roger at Woodstock Church of Christ. With the help of Luke, the ring bearer and also the family dog, Stenelle and Roger happily said their, “I dos.” And after dating for 2 years they also had their first kiss, literally, in the presence of their loving family and friends. After a beautiful ceremony and reception, family and friends were gathered for the releasing of butterflies and a bubbly send off to Hawaii! Thank you for sharing your special day with us!

It was beautiful day this Saturday and at the center of it all was Anica and Thomas. Our day began at the Woodstock Main Street City park where Anica and Thomas said their “I dos.” It was the perfect location for an intimate wedding with family and friends under a white gazebo. Anica looked gorgeous in her beaded, laced gown while Thomas showed his relaxed style in a black suite and white tie. After the ceremony we took advantage of the location to take photos of family, friends and of course Mr. & Mrs. Bell. I must add that these two are troopers because during our shoot imagine 60+ couples dressed for a high school formal surrounding the gazebo for photos!
Afterwards, we headed out to Marietta where the celebration continued. This was such an intimate gathering that we felt like part of the family. Thank you for the hospitality, we had such a great time meeting and getting to know your family.

I’ve been looking forward to Sunday since we met Mandi & Shawn. I must say we were in for some fun once I heard all the different “kids” they have. Tara and I were ready to roll around for these guys.
After arriving at their home and a little chit chat, we headed out to the backyard and to our surprise there was a farm (minus the pig)! The backyard was gorgeous so it was fitting that we did Mandi & Shawn’s E-Shoot there. Along with the chickens they also have a dog, 2 ferrets & 2 parrots! I bet they love animals
Thank you Mandi & Shawn for your hospitality! We had such a great time and laughed a lot. We’ll see you at the end of May!
